CREATION OF A NEW E BIKE ON THE SHIMANO PLATFORM
REQUEST
We were asked to design the new generation of Overvolt on a Shimano platform, incorporating the innovative “Snake” battery. Our mission was centered on the industrial design of the product.
METHOD
2D creation tools based on multiple iterations of geometry made it possible to create attractive shapes based on optimized kinematics. the 3D modeling phase based on the technical package integrating the battery, motor and bearing elements, was the basis for generating 3D preview renderings. Making the down tube volume visually acceptable was the key to the research phase.
RESULTS
The launch of the bicycle during the Portes du Mercantour festival, organized by Lapierre, was a success.
