ARVA - EVO BT

NEW AVALANCHE BEACON

After the probes and shovels, ARVA trusted us to develop a new avalanche beacon, their flagship product that built their reputation.

The main focus of this project was to streamline the design language to facilitate handling in emergency situations. We were involved from the very beginning, from the development of the brief to the parts injection in France.

A project combining strong technical constraints, including the integration of Bluetooth and a minimum search band width of 60m, while keeping the device as thin as possible with 3 batteries to maintain autonomy.

PRIORITY ON GRIP

The brand's first requirement was a rotary button.

Exploring different positioning possibilities allowed us to quickly prototype the most promising options, in order to validate an architecture and continue with its design.

GLOBAL DESIGN

Developing a product well requires understanding what it is made of.

Dismantling other beacon models from the brand with engineers and manufacturers allowed us to go beyond the product sketch, thinking about its manufacturing and assembly.

FROM DESIGN TO REALITY

On a product where every tenth of a millimeter matters, modeling with all the components and fully considering the client's constraints is crucial. This approach allows us to minimize industrial complications later on.
