redesign of the enduro lapierre zesty/spicy offer

• REQUEST

We have been working for several years with Lapierre, the French leader in cycle manufacturers, mainly on their all-terrain muscular and electric ranges. This project was an opportunity to marry these two worlds, by participating in the design of a common platform, based in particular on the use of a new generation motorized assistance, with the conviction that the light electric bicycle can convert new targets to electric.

• METHOD

Creating a range of bikes by integrating family logic and common elements involves developing the different models head-on, applying each iteration to all of them, to leave no detail to chance.This meticulous process is enabled by our experience in the field. of bike design, and is completed by high-quality surface modeling for each model, in partnership with our design-vertical partner.Beyond pure product design, our knowledge of the middle of the cycle, by passion and experience, has given us during this project an advisory role, in dialogue with the brand's expert teams, including the ten-time mountain bike world champion, Nicolas Vouilloz.

• RESULTS

Unveiled in 2018 during the Eurobike fair, this particularly innovative family of bikes received a unanimous and very positive reception. This vision of a mountain bike with a subtle and very light electric assistance questions the status quo of the market, by proposing a concept halfway between muscular and pure electric. Praised by the press when it was launched, the Zesty was notably voted MTB of the year 2019 by Vélovert magazine.
