mavic improves the e-bike experience
REQUEST
Mavic wishes to conduct a prospective study on the ultra-buoyant electric bicycle accessory market. Kairn Studio was asked in 2017 to imagine without concessions what a Mavic 2025 bike would be. Putting the product into perspective on several usage scenarios and Mavic targets, ranging from “commuting” to touring cyclists, including confirmed competitors, was a key part of the brief.
METHOD
The briefing on the identity, know-how and aspirations of the brand was essential in framing the study. Our team first carried out a conceptual exploration phase in the form of a sketchbook, in parallel with the scripting of the different practices. After validation of the scenarios by the artistic director of the brand, we formalized in 2D the various “use cases”.
RESULTS
A bike with clean lines and modular according to the needs of the target, integrating the very precise graphic codes specific to Mavic, and offering the cyclist of tomorrow new ways to explore the winding roads around his home, or facilitating the experience. of home training. This study crystallizes a vision of the electric bicycle in the world of traditional cycling.
